Perils Of Pearl Pureheart is a 1949 animated short. It is the 57th cartoon short of the Mighty Mouse theatrical series.
Plot[]
Oil Can Harry kidnaps Pearl Pureheart to sing in his country saloon, then throws her to the lions. He puts her in a trance, forcing her to sing as much as she can, again and again, never stopping, and making money for him. Mighty Mouse then comes to fight Oil Can Harry. During the fight Pearl, still hypnotized, has fallen from the coach and is drowning in the lake. At the end Mighty Mouse beats the cat and saves her. The episode ends with Mighty Mouse and Pearl kissing.
